Who Replaces Melanie and Derwin on “The Game”?

by on June 8, 2012

Zap2It has the exclusive scoop on the latest characters that are coming to BET’s critically-acclaimed hit “The Game” replacing Melanie and Derwin aka Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall who’ll be moving on to shows of their own on the Style Network and Showtime, respectively.

With Tia Mowry leaving the show, producers are looking for a new female actress to join the cast in the regular role of Kiera, a 20-year-old former child star who has been in the spotlight since she was five years old and starring on a “Cosby” style sitcom. According to the casting call, she’s bright and charming, but struggling into transitioning into a grown-up career.

Kiera isn’t the only newbie in town! Another series regular will be hired to play Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbook – a #1, Ivy League draft pick running back who breaks every “dumb athlete” stereotype. He’s not only got a Heisman Trophy, but he’s usually the smartest guy in the room — which sets his new teammates on edge.

My two picks for the role of Kiera:

She’s feisty, fly and sexy….I haven’t watched “The Game” in a while, but Zoe Saldana would make me want to watch. lol

Who better to play a former child actor than A FORMER CHILD ACTOR?? Keisha Pulliam is ending her stint with Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and would be great for this role

My two picks to play Bryce:

Don’t ask me why….but the ladies love this guy and his acting cred has grown since “Think Like A Man”….Michael Ealy

Columbus Short brings some star power and attention to the show since he’s well known for “Stomp the Yard”. I don’t know whether he would leave “Scandal” on broadcast TV (ABC) for cable.
