Tupac’s Alive? Tupac Performs During Snoop/Dre’s Set at Coachella 2012

They screaming Tupac BACK! At least for one night. A hologram version of Tupac performed together with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre during their set at one of the music industry’s biggest festivals, Coachella 2012. The set also featured Eminem, Tony Yayo, Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent and a hologram version of Nate Dogg, who recently passed away after suffering a heart attack. But the highlight of the night was definitely the return of Tupac for one night.

The hologram was a bit creepy and scary if I’m being honest and it didn’t look realistic at all like other holograms we’ve seen including will.i.am’s hologram live on CNN on the night President Obama was elected. But, with that being said, it was pretty cool to see the reunion of three of California’s greatest rappers. According to The Consequence of Sound, Tupac’s hologram was created by the same company who broadcast a hologram of Mariah Carey performing simultaneously in 5 different cities last year.
