EPIC FAIL of the Day 4/9/12

by on April 9, 2012

1. An annual Easter egg hunt in Central City Park in Macon, Ga., was canceled this year because of unruly parents, officials said.

The annual Easter egg hunt in Central City Park, which would have been held Saturday, was one of the largest in Middle Georgia, The Macon (Ga.) Telegraph reported.

However, officials decided to cancel the event because “parents caused a situation in which some children got hurt,” said Bibb County Commissioner Joe Allen, founder and CEO of Kids Yule Love which coordinated the egg hunt

(So you ruin your kids fun because you have an overblown ego? Good idea Macon, Georgia parents!!! (sarcasm) – J.K.)

2. A child on an Easter egg hunt organized by a pre-school group in an English village stumbled upon an unexpected surprise — a hand grenade.

The hunt was taking place in a field near the town of Holford, Somerset, on Saturday, This Is Somerset reported.

The area was cordoned off and the bomb disposal squad destroyed the grenade in a controlled explosion, police said. It also resulted in the closure of a highway for a few of hours.

“We were beginning to count up the eggs at the end of the hunt and I saw a boy of three standing on an object,” Stuart Moffatt, who was attending the hunt with his three children, told the Daily Mail.

3. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor went into damage control mode Friday following the revelation that he contributed $25,000 to a super PAC devoted to defeating incumbent House members — including numerous Republicans.

The news of Cantor’s contribution to the Campaign for Primary Accountability, first reported by Roll Call Friday afternoon and confirmed by a spokesman for the super PAC, was said to have taken party leaders by surprise. House Speaker John Boehner, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, and National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions, knowledgeable aides said, had not received advance word that the contribution had been made.

(This might have been the smartest thing that Mr. Cantor has done all year…….we need to just clean slate and kick out all the Dems and Repubs in the House and Senate, they haven’t done anything useful and they’re wasting America’s time and money. And you can tell them I said that too – J.K.)

4. Gina Lala’s new phone from a Verizon store in Skokie, Ill. came with a few features she wanted, and at least one she didn’t: graphic pictures of naked men, lots of them.

“I go to the photo gallery and there are pictures of people I don’t know, that have obviously been on the phone, very disturbing pictures, very offensive,” Gina told Chicago’s NBC5. “I got very upset. I have young kids and they go through my phone. They play with my phone!”

(Maybe the Verizon store assumed the new owner of the phone hadn’t passed health class? No, I’m just kidding…..but that’s pretty effed up – J.K.)

5.

(This story is so sad……it’s sad that this white dude felt that he had to get retribution for what a black person did to his dad by killing two innocent black people that had nothing to do with the situation……..black people do the same thing everyday, they give white people attitude all the time and treat them with disrespect as if they are the ones who should be blamed for their ancestors’ slavery, I just wish WE COULD ALL GET ALONG!!!!!! But, the interesting part of this video is what the reporter says…….as I heard her say those obscenities, I thought to myself “Every white person probably dreams of saying the n-word publicly without getting into trouble for it” LOL. – J.K.)
