Beer Pong Championships Will Be Broadcast on Facebook
In Las Vegas, there’s a $50,000 grand prize up for grabs and it’s not for poker. Beer pong “athletes” from the United States, Canada and beyond will be competing in a tournament on Jan. 4th at the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel and casino that will be livestreamed on Facebook.com/BPONG by a company called Milyoni, here’s what Milyoni’s CEO John Corpus had to say about beer pong:
Beer Pong has a cult-like following, especially among the college crowd, making Facebook the ideal platform for fans who can’t make it to the festivities. Our goal is to bring a truly social experience to unique events like this, allowing fans to get in on the action, even if they are watching from miles away.
Sadly though, it’s going to come with a price:
Access to the live stream costs 50 Facebook Credits, or $4.99, if ordered in advance, or 70 Facebook Credits ($6.99) once the first ping-pong ball is flung toward a cup.
